Welcome to Natural Connection Counseling

If you have been longing for a place of connection and support, I am glad you have arrived. If you are searching for parenting skills to help you manage your every day overwhelm and overstimulation from the demands of parenting, you have found that place. If your struggle with anxiety and stress has left you unable to sleep and burnt out and frazzled from the sensory overload of your life, you have found a place of support. Perhaps you arrived here because you’ve been learning about highly sensitive personality and the pieces of the puzzle are coming together for you about having this personality. Maybe your arrival here was a result of wanting to learn better communication skills for having difficult and triggering conversations with loved ones, family members and friends. You are wanting to set boundaries that leave you feeling empowered. Learning to set these boundaries can also help you if you are navigating dating or being in a new relationship.

Whatever your reason may be, you have arrived at a place where I utilize years of experience in the therapy field to help you work through your struggles while at the same time helping you develop coping skills to regulate the overwhelming emotions and feelings in your body. As you work through past traumas during your time in therapy, I guide you in building what is called your “window of tolerance” so you can get out of a survival state and into a thriving state. To do so, I blend a somatic approach of body-based mindfulness with a person centered focus that allows you to feel validated, seen and heard. I provide these sessions for Colorado and Nebraska residents in a virtual format or out in nature (for my Nebraska clients). Through our time together, you will find new ways to manage anxiety, stress and overwhelm which leave you feeling peaceful and empowered. It’s easy to get started. Click on the contact button at the top of this page and schedule a complimentary consultation.

You may have read all the above and still not be sure if you want to start. This is totally understandable as starting therapy with someone you don’t know can be intimidating. You might be feeling you want to make the right choice for your therapist to avoid having to start with someone new because it didn’t work out with your first choice. To help you, I offer you some additional insight below to support you in making a decision. You have many therapists to sort through and it can be overwhelming to choose. I hope this helps! Please reach out for more questions by clicking on the contact button above.
